Anita Blackwell CPNP
"I became a Nurse Practitioner at the ripe old age of 21. It was a time when nurse practitioners were new and there were no colleagues to gain prespectives and recieve wisdom on how to conduct ourselves in this new profession. Early on I knew I had to develop a mission statement to guide me in this new frontier. At that time I had a child and loved him and would do anything in my power to take care, protect and prepare him to become a successful and responsible adult.
This was it...I decided I would take care of the children I provided medical care for as if they were my own.
My mission statement has given parents the confidence needed when facing difficult times as well as when everything is going well."
